Comenzamos la última semana de Enero. En ella, os voy a enseñar lo que me llegó en el último pedido de Femme Luxe. Meses atrás os he enseñado muchísimas cosas de esta marca y os he hablado mucho de ella y es que no paro de colaborar con ellos porque ¡me encanta!. Estos pantalones ya os los enseñé el año pasado. Me los pedí para mi y recuerdo que a una amiga le encantaron, así que los pedí también para ella. Son sin duda alguna uno de los must have de esta tienda. Por eso este año los he vuelto a pedir.

Preparando este post me he acordado de cuando os contaba la historia de una prenda y me ha apetecido mucho hacerlo de nuevo. Así que he investigado sobre el origen de los pantalones de cuero y cómo se convirtieron en tendencia y he encontrado un artículo de Mujer Hoy en el que dice:

"El origen de los pantalones de cuero remite a los antiguos pueblos de América del Norte, quienes -previo a la llegada de los europeos- acostumbran fabricarlos empleando la piel de los animales que cazaban para sobrevivir. Más adelante son adoptados por los colonos para proteger las ropas del desgaste que produce el roce del caballo. A comienzos del XIX, de color beige, forman parte de los uniformes militares de la caballería. Simultáneamente, los elegantes recurren a ellos para participar en las diversas cabalgatas que colman sus nutridas agendas sociales. En los albores del siglo XX definen la apariencia del cow-boy estadounidense.

El año 1943, la actriz Evelyn Keyes viste este tipo de indumentaria en el western “Los desesperados”, donde interpreta a una intrépida heroína. Los complementa con camisa masculina, gilet de gamuza ribeteado en cuero y botas vaqueras con espuela. En los 50, la cultura rocker, influida por la película “El salvaje”, agrega a las connotaciones asociadas al material (Lejano Oeste, praderas) la idea del adolescente inconformista, rebelde, agresivo. Una década después, recuperando la experiencia de The Beatles, Eddie Cochran y Vince Taylor -músicos que ya habían descubierto el potencial seductor de los pantalones de cuero-, Elvis Presley los lleva junto a una casaca corta, durante la emisión televisiva que tiene por objeto relanzar su carrera artística. En los 70, el glam aporta versiones unisex en plateado y colores intensos.

El pantalón de cuero se incorpora definitivamente a la moda oficial en los 80, gracias al impulso otorgado por la estética punk y más adelante por los diseñadores Claude Montana y Gianni Versace. Por otra parte, las roqueras ya consagradas Suzi Quatro, Chrissie Hynde y Joan Jett contribuyen a su difusión entre las mujeres. Amplios y pinzados estilo baggy, con estructura de jeans o ajustados tipo leggins, se usan con chaquetas al tono, de amplias hombreras y cintura marcada, delicadas blusas estilo pirata, blancas o beige, o suéteres oversize de cachemira, angora, lisos, a rayas o con motivos jacquard en amarillos, rojos, fucsias, verdes y azules."

And I am going to show you what I received in the last order from Femme Luxe Months ago I have taught you many things about this brand and I have told you a lot about it and I do not stop collaborating with them because I love it! These pants I already showed you last year. I asked them for myself and I remember that a friend loved them, so I also asked for her. They are without a doubt one of the must haves of this store. That is why this year I have asked them again.

Preparing this post I have remembered when I told you the story of a garment and I really wanted to do it again. So I have investigated the origin of leather pants and how they became a trend and I have found an article from Women Today in which it says:

"The origin of leather pants goes back to the ancient peoples of North America, who - prior to the arrival of Europeans - used to make them using the skin of the animals they hunted to survive. Later they are adopted by the colonists to protect the clothes of the wear caused by the friction of the horse. At the beginning of the 19th century, beige in color, they were part of the military uniforms of the cavalry. At the same time, the elegant ones resort to them to participate in the various cavalcades that fill their large social agendas. At the dawn of the 20th century they define the appearance of the American cowboy.

Leather pants were definitely incorporated into official fashion in the 80s, thanks to the impulse given by the punk aesthetic and later by designers Claude Montana and Gianni Versace. On the other hand, the established rockers Suzi Quatro, Chrissie Hynde and Joan Jett contribute to its spread among women. Wide and pleated baggy style, with a structure of jeans or tight leggings, they are worn with matching jackets, with wide shoulder pads and a marked waist, delicate white or beige pirate-style blouses, or oversize cashmere, angora, plain, striped sweaters or with jacquard motifs in yellows, reds, fuchsias, greens and blues"
